Tree Fairy or Goatsucker!!!

The aptly named Tree Fairy is back in the news. Photographs from the private collection of an expert in the field of endangered species wildlife photography have been released to World famous blogsite Papa's got a brand new blog by an un-named source. The photo published here shows what appears to be a young male Tree Fairy, and was shot earlier this year in the South of Chile. Initially the photographer thought he had photographed a Chilean "chupacabras" (or Chilean Goatsucker) - so called because of its ability to drain small animals of their blood whilst leaving the carcass intact. Although the exploits of the chupacabras are well documented in South America they have had little exposure in other parts of the world because no one has managed to prove of their existence.
By all accounts, there seem to be some differences in the appearance of the two creatures. Experts aren't sure if this is due to the gender difference in the specimens that have been photographed. A spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund said "The most striking difference seems to be the eyes. The Chilean beast has the eyes of a nocturnal animal whilst all the sightings of the creature in New Zealand have been during daylight hours.

The release of the photograph has caused uproar and division in the ranks of animal experts who are not sure if the animal in question is related to the African Bush Baby (a vegetarian) or the Chupacabras (not a vegetarian!). British animal expert David Attenborough has offered a reward for information leading to the capture of the strange creature. Weird Australian Rolf Harris has written a song about the little animal which is currently whizzing up the charts. And finally, Mad USA President George Bush claims the creature is Osama Bin Laden in disguise and has sent out a special task force with orders to "take no prisoners even if it means nuking the smithereens out of anywhere that isn't American soil"

I am soooo enjoying your tree fairy instalments Simon. I think your creative writing skills may be better put to use with the publication of a childrens fantasy novel than the old blog pages! Or perhaps a even a trilogy. You appear to be up to it, your creative juices are certainly flowing! Go on be the next Philip Pullman Si, I'm sure there is money in it..........what do others think?

I, yes Simon, you could make quadrillions, just writing down random stuff that pops into your head..............

If Phillip Pulman is all he's got to aspire to then he has no problem....

It has been reported that the Chilean Goatsucker or the "Chupacabras" has been arrested by the local police in Valpairaiso. This is the first time the chupacabras has been seen so far west and the police had to deploy a special squad of former Hells Angels to secure it's capture.
