London based brain-box Rosie W is going to great lengths to protect her prize asset.... her brain.
Rosie, who recently graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies with a 1st class degree, has purchased specially designed protective headgear that offers optimum brain protection. The cap section is made from a lightweight, lead-coated material whilst the square, flat top is durable bullet proof rubber made from the same material that astronauts wear for space walks. "It's meteorite proof" an excited Rosie told World famous blog Papasgotabrandnewblog. "After getting a 1st I decided that I wouldn't take any changes" she explained "I took out special insurance and bought this protective headgear. I may not look that fashionable but at least my brain's safe!"

Vanishing Child

Anxious parents Ged and Raggs are worried that their youngest daughter Pixie is disappearing. Initially, the Bristol based couple were concerned that Pixie was turning into a spirit child or a phantom but now they have come to the conclusion that she's fading away before her time. Mum Raggs noticed that Pixie, who celebrates her 2nd birthday today, was off her food and looking a little pale a couple of days back. Since then, the toddler's condition has gradually worsened. Doctors are baffled. "We are baffled" a Doctor told world famous BlogSpot Papasgotabrandnewblog . "We need to act fast before the poor child disappears altogether!"

Our photo shows birthday girl Pixie in her current state. Hopefully the birthday celebrations will bring some colour back to her cheeks and she'll get to open her presents before her hands disappear!

Is Colin H. Superman???

World famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog has picked up on rumours that Police in the Bristol area are keen to interview the Bristol based artist who goes under the name of Colin H. Reports have been appearing on the internet insinuating that Ciln H is actually Superman in disguise.

An anonymous blog post by an North American journalist called Jimmy O claims that Superman fled to Britain as a youngster and changed his regular name (Clark Kent) to something with "similar initials". The extensive post goes on to present evidence from several conspiracy theories to demonstrate that Superman retired in the 70s and that we don't remember “because of all the fluoride in the water”. The author of the post, who claims to be an "old friend" of the retired super hero, says that he believes Superman is living in the Bristol area working as an artist. "He always loved art. He used to do ice-sculpture in his Fortress. He said it helped him relax after a hard-day-saving-the-planet.”

Jimmy O claims he only wants to find his friend to wish him a happy 50th birthday on July 15^th.

The link to Bristol based artist Colin H comes because of an exhibition by the artist which features a piece called The Metropolis of Tomorrow (in collaboration with Marcus Jefferies) that looks “the spitting image of Kandor” – the bottled city that Superman’s arch enemy Braniac stole and shrank before Superman recovered it and stored it in the Fortress of Solitude. Interestingly, Colin H is also celebrating his 50^th birthday today.

 

Initial suggestions that this was all a big publicity stunt to draw attention to the The Metropolis of Tomorrow exhibition which is on constant view at the Spike Island Gallery have been dismissed given that the exhibition organisers will also launch an inquiry into the uncanny resemblance between the main piece of the exhibit and Superman's home city.
