All these tunes are great. Nice to see a return to form for Massive after the disappointing 100th window. I guess the only odd tune odd is Living on a traffic Island by Morane (which is punkish in a hippy way???). They're German and this song has lots of charisma. You can download it from here:

Brits accused of water theft

Reports just in from our correspondent in Santiago (Chile) claim that Chilean Police are working with Interpol in an attempt to track down two English citizens in relation to the crime of water theft. Apparently, the two men (pictured) had devised a cunning plan to smuggle water from the South of Chile to an unknown destination in the United Kingdom.
Local inhabitants in the vicinity of Pucon say that the more robust of the two men in question was seen trying to "drink the River Tancura". According to an eyewitness report, the water criminal dove in the river and "tried to swallow the whole river, fish and all".
British Police are baffled by the case and are appealing for the two men to come forward. A spokesman for Scotland Yard said that although they didn't rule out British involvement in the crime, it seemed unlikely that the water was being smuggled into Britain due to the large quantities of rain that falls on British soil every day of the year.
The investigation is being hindered by the fact that the two men in question were wearing disguises (see photo). Earlier in the week, two men fitting the description of those being sought had entered a restaurant in the centre of Pucon. "The River Guzzler" (as the larger of the two subjects has been nicknamed by locals) was trying to find an establishment which had cable TV in order to watch English football and kept muttering "Come on you Reds", whilst the smaller of the two men was in search of "Chocolate Helado" a local delicacy made from vanilla ice-cream and cocoa powder.

The Truth about Big Foot!

Scientists and Doctors are baffled. Little Pedro Banfi is only 18 months old and already he takes a size 7 (UK shoe size). His parents, Cristian and Elisa, are starting to worry. If his feet keep on growing at their present rate, he'll be using two small rowing boats as clogs by the time he's 8 years old. Friends and relatives of little Pedro are currently raising money to send him to see specialist foot binders in China.

Dan the man (boy!)

This is Danny C being told he shouldn't read Kafka on the shore.

As well as being an avid reader (and an Animal off the Muppets impersonator), Dan likes to spend his spare time writing letters, emails or phoning his family.

He was last spotted dancing a drunken samba down the Bristol Park Street at 2.35am on Saturday morning. Danny C is 108 years old.

Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami

This book was my first introduction to the zany world of Mr Murakami. I got wind of it when a friend (Chilean author Milton Puga) sent me a newspaper link allowing you to read chapter 1 for free. I didn't have time to read it but I was intrigued by the title and stored it away in the "black box" for future reference. Then, low and behold, best-British-writer-since-Mervyn-Peake David Mitchell reviewed it in best-British-newspaper The Guardian.
Fate or wot!
When Izzy ( English friend living in Chile who is currently studying in UK) offered to send me a book from Blighty for my birthday, I didn't have to think twice.

I don't want to give too much away. Tamura (a Japanese Holden Caufield for the 21st Century) sets off to find himself and his mother (and sister). His fate is entwined with that of Nakata, a mentally impaired cat-tracker! They seem set for a head on collision that could mean disaster for both of them (Sinister music please!).

As this is the only Murakami novel that I've read, I'm unable to comment on the author's style. The story has some weird and wacky characters who border on the unbelievable or even unimaginable. Nevertheless, they draw you into their world. Whatever Murakami was hoping to achieve, he's written one hell of a tale.

Voted one of the top ten novels of 2005 by The New York Times this is something you need to pick up with an open mind. I had to read slowly because I didn't want it to end. Bea read it too and loved it.

Not for the younger readers I'm afraid as it has some naughty language and some naughty goings on! (Danny Clibery put that book down!)

As those of you who know him can bear witness, the book cover also features a picture of a feline who bears a striking resemblance to Kat.

Please contact your local RSPCA office if you happen to see them loitering in your neighbourhood. Apparently, the ringleader (on the left of your picture), in addition to mail-blocking, visits people and eats them out of house and home. She is an extremely difficult customer to get rid of. If she rings your bell or knocks on the door, pretend you are out. Under no circumstances open the door or let her cross the threshold!!!

What the blog!

Hello Everybody. Now you can keep a track of what's happening with Bea and I. A sort of poor man's The Osbornes.

This first episode is memorable because I just flooded the kitchen floor!

This morning Liverpool beat Everton 3 - 1 in the local Merseyside derby so dad wouldn't have been very happy. I saw it live on Fox Sports.

I suggest Lizzie and Dan get a Blog Spot and call it Robin's Nest. That way she can stop filling up our emails with photos of Rockin Robin.

If you leave a comment after visiting I get an email sent to me and I know I have news. This was very easy to set up and now we are floating about in cyber space. How cool is that!
