Best Recent Reads

Ex-world famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog has been doing a fair bit of reading recently. The following are the recommended reads.

The Museum of Innocence by Orhan Pamuk: A wonderful attempt at describing the essence of true, everlasting love. Somewhat poetic in its flow.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman: A gentle fantasy-adventure for all the family. This is only the second book I've started by Gaiman, and the first I've managed to finish.

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt: This is like a Luc Besson version of a modern day Catcher in the Rye. Extremely readable, over-the-top, youth action-caper.

Luna Landing

Former world famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog is pleased to announce that Luna Higginson-Pellegrini made a safe landing after her long journey. Despite a few bumps (well, one large one!!) and bruises (more burps and farts really), Luna arrived safe and sound and in good health. Our photo, taken from an inverted position, shows little Luna (A.K.A Moonchild) floating on the ceiling of her gravity tent as she builds strength for her next mission.

Record Breaker

Little Honey Higginson is attempting to enter the Guinness book of records in the "Holding your breath underwater the longest" - Juvenile section. If her attempt fails Honey will try to gain an entry as the first person to drink their own bath water.
Former world famous blogspot, papasgotabrandnewblog, wishes Honey all the best in her record attempts.
When interviewed, Honey's proud parents declared that they were "very proud" and "100% behind their daughter".
In an off-the-record comment, Dad - Geddie H  - was overheard saying "If it keeps her from talking and pestering, it's fine by me". He is believed to be extremely keen for his wife and younger daughter to attempt similar challenges.
