Another Good Read

The Ring

The Ring is based on an original story devised with Daniel Brierley and Mark Chamberlien* (*I think) back in 1986/7 as project for a film course at the London College of Printing. It tells the story of a ring and how it affects the lives of all the people who come into contact with it. It passes from the hands of a two-timed lover in full circle via a couple of schoolboys, a bully, a fence, a poker-game, a small-time drug baron, a thief, the school boys for a second time, and a tramp. Finally it makes it back to its original owner but prior to her being spurned leaving the spectator with the following doubts. Has the story finished, or is it about to begin? Was the story a premonition, with the destiny already inscribed in the ring?

This is the original 8mm footage.

World famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog took part in a photoshoot in Santiago's Nº1 nightspot yesterday, the General Cemetery. The shoot took place at the dead of night so, luckily, there was no problem with crowds. A spokesperson reported that "there wasn't a soul to be seen".

New Superhero Sighted in Bristol

A new superhero has been reported in the Bristol area. “Slot-Machine Mouth Girl” has the amazing super power of being able to eat money (well, at least she made all our money disappear!).  At the time of going to press, world famous blogspot papasgotabrandnewblog was unable to think of how “Slot-Machine Mouth Girl”will be able to assist society and change the world, however, we are mighty impressed with her outfit (a rather more street-cred look, we feel, that should be a big hit with the youngsters). Any citizen in peril who needs “Slot-Machine Mouth Girl”’s assistance only has to make a request via the super-hero’s mother’s Facebook and “Slot-Machine Mouth Girl” will come running to the rescue as soon as she gets the message. According to one unnamed resident in the Southville area of Bristol, locals are happy because “at least they can go to bed at night knowing that the streets are safe”. Well done “Slot-Machine Mouth Girl!”

Blogging Season Begins!

World famous bloodspot Papasgotabrandnewblog is proud to present the official start of the 2014 blogging season. Proceedings had been delayed because the official Danny's Garden (Front and back at N`12) 2014 Calendar  hadn't arrived at the PGABNB HQ. The aforementioned document, which was delivered earlier today by pigeon post, was received with great joy and celebration.

The official blogging season actually happens to coincide with the 3rd birthday of Bristol born babes  Isla and Amelie but due to the current PGABNB ban of posts related to birthdays we are unable to wish them an amazing birthday and wonderous greetings for the coming year.

The same fate befell Bristol based Ski-man Josh W (seen here doing a Mike Tyson on an unsuspecting stranger) who went ungreeted on his birthday 3 days ago (Jan 24th), and little known rock singer David Bowie who celebrated his birthday on January 8th.
