The Artist Strikes Back

Colin "Collywobbles" Higginson, the artist at the centre of the "serious artist" scandal, hit back at his critics yesterday claiming that he is being unfairly targeted by certain sections of the gutter press.
In an exclusive interview with world famous blogspot Papa's got a brand new blog, Colin made the following statement:
"I am currently talking with my lawyers with a view to taking legal action for defamation of character. The members of the press involved will understand the true meaning of the word serious when I sue the pants off them for defamation of character. There are lots of other crappy artists out there so, why pick on me? It's just not fair"
The photo below is an example of the Bristol based artist's work entitled "People's things in jars" which dates back to 2001.



In a subsequent statement the artist said "I am serious about my work and expect other people to take it seriously. However, if people seriously think that I'm not serious I doubt that I would take their comments seriously".
