Lunar Launch

World famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog will make history today by becoming the first blog, or any publication of its kind for that matter, to launch a lunar edition. The innovative blogspot will take advantage of the fact that tonight's full moon will pass within a mere 221,802 miles of Earth (approx 357,000km) which is about 15,300 miles closer than your average full moon. The wacky blogspot plans to fire a rocket at the moon with an ipad and an extremely powerful wi-fi transmitor. World famous blogspot Papasgotabrandnewblog will be saved as the internet browser homepage by default which means that future visitors to the moon automatically see the blog when they connect to wi-fi thus making it the first lunar publication.

The decision has been criticised in some quarters for a number of reasons, not least of all for the fact that the North Korean rocket scientists working on the project recently failed in their attempt to successfully launch the prototype rocket (mistakenly presumed to be a nulcear war-head carrying device). Additionally, some people have pointed out that it's unlikely that the ipad battery will hold it's charge long enough to reach the moon let alone long enough for future moon visitors to use it.

A spokesperson for the website suggests that this is just sour grapes and that other publications are jealous that they didn't think of the idea first. The lunar edition of the blog will feature lunar news, daily lunar weather reports and an extended sports section.

Today's photo, taken by Papasgotabrandnewblog's award winning photographer last night shows an almost full moon.
