Santiago-based experimental visual artist and electronic groove-maker, Experiment SH1310, has rush-released his latest offering, a short film entitled “Students Marching – The Movie. It is thought that the move was prompted by the release of David Bowie’s new single last week. There has been quite a tussle going on for World Artist of the Year over recent weeks with both Exp1310 and Bowie being highly prolific. The film is step into unknown territory for the self-titled electronic groove-maker as it’s the first of his official releases that fails to feature a composed soundtrack. “This is more about image than sound” explained Mr Ex-P “I wanted people to get a sense of being “inside” the march. A soundtrack just wasn’t needed.”
Bowie, whose latest video was controversially given an 18+ ranking, was unavailable for comment. He is currently in line for a Top People of the year award in the USA and is subject of a 300-piece memorabilia exhibition in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Exp1310 has an out-of-date myspace account and a 36 hit Facebook page.
