“She scared the life out of me” the un-named woman told world famous blogspot Papa’s got a brand new blog. “She ran up behind me, did a little jig and then shot off down the road laughing like a crazy hyena. I was startled and shocked. It shouldn’t be allowed. Someone should out a stop to it. I’m going to write to the local council. The streets aren’t safe anymore. Paekakariki used to be a nice, quiet area. When I was a young girl leprechauns were seen and not heard. Blah, blah, blah…………”
A spokesperson for local police said, “We think the little lass is searching for a pot of gold that she left at the end of a rainbow. She may be dangerous so members of the public should steer well clear of her. There are rumours that she kicks and bites.”
Traditionally, leprechauns talk in riddles and are known for their trickery. Female leprechauns have been known to mesmerise people with their “jigs and wheels” and then relieve them of their wallets.
