I read the comments below and decided to interview myself.
Q: What is Facebook?
A: A social networking software that allows you to share information with large amounts of people. It was originally developed as an educational tool.
Q: Why is it so popular?
A: Well, from the point of view of photo sharing it quick and free. According to wikipedia the average user spends 19 minutes per day on Facebook. It was voted the second most "in" thing university students (on par with beer and sex. The i-pod was Nº1)
Q: What are the disadvantages?
A: It is time consuming and gimmicky and maybe someone will use stuff to embarrass you or even blackmail you in the future! (Be careful what you show, be careful what you say!!)
Q: Why do you have an account?
A: I wanted 2 C Ged n' Raggs' wedding photos.
Q: Are you for or against?
A: I think it's a great way for my students to practice "real English", it's sort of Pen Pals for the 21st Century. However .............. I sense something dodgy. Someone is making BIG BUCKS!!
I reckon that by this time next year, it will be last year’s big thing.

I love it and hate at the same time. its great to keep in touch. but then like many people i know it becomes obsesive to check every few min and that drives me crazzzzzey. very good study oh Chillian one xxxxx
i was listening to mr bowie one afternoon and browsing facebook. from listening to bowie my trail of thought lead to simon...which lead to family..which lead to the thought of how i miss you all and dont get to see anyone enough...so then i was thinking about family and how i could email everyone and then BAM! i realised the answer was right in front of my face (litteraly) FACEBOOK!! we could make a higginson&co group which we could like to this darling blog spot and all be in contact all the time. wicked-cool!
